I am Nasywa Maulidina number 29

So in my post this time I will give my understanding of what descriptive text.

What is descriptive text?

Descriptive Text is a Text to describe something (people, animals, and things) especially in detailed description.

Generic structure of descriptive text :

• Identification : The opening paragraph tells the reader what the description is about.

• Description :  Each one focuses on a different part or area, built up to complete description of the subject.

• Concluding paragraph (optional) : summaries of the whole description.

Social function : 

To present fact and Information about the sunject by describing its parts, characteristic, ect.

Examples can be used for :

- Apply for a job 

- Looking for missing people 

- Looking for Criminals 

- Describe the items being sold

- Describe a place.

Language component (Features) :

a.) Sentence Structure :

S V O M P T 

S : Subject

V : Verb

O : Object

M P T : Adverb 

M : Menner 

P : Place 

T : Time

b.) Subject & Object ( Noun ) :

Noun is a word used to name or refer to people, objects, things and ideas.

In other words, this word refers to real objects and abstract concepts.
